  • Better is a poor and a wise child than an old and foolish king, who will no more be admonished. And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh. The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion. A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished. Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, and before honour is humility.
